Training
Dr. med. Daphnie Schumann-Averkiou studied human medicine at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf as well as at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA.
Following her studies, she became a specialist in general surgery in Düsseldorf.
Dr. Schumann-Averkiou completed her training as a specialist in hand, plastic and aesthetic surgery with a state-recognised examination first in the Department of Hand, Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery with Dr. med. Reimer Hoffman in Oldenburg and with Dr. med. Kurt Steffens in Essen-Kupferdreh – the last years in the University Hospital Witten/Herdecke, Hospital Cologne-Merheim Clinic for Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, Hand Surgery – Severe Burns Centre.
In the following years, she additionally trained as a state-approved hand surgeon.
Dr. med. Daphnie Schumann-Averkiou has outstanding theoretical and surgical experience due to her work at various renowned clinics throughout Germany and serves a very broad spectrum in the field of hand, plastic and aesthetic surgery.
She regularly attends congresses, further training and expert meetings at home and abroad.
